Article Snippet: Differential equations were solved using forward Euler and with an integration time step of 0.1 ms. Synaptic weights w were initialized at w i = 0.5 and at the end of the simulation we read out the final value w f . The 9 parameters of our model were fitted to the outcome of different experiments using the Matlab function fmincon (interior-point algorithm).
